Department of Agriculture & Cooperation is the controlling body of NIPHM which is started in 1966 at Rangareddy District, Hyderabad to function as a Nodal agency to work on plant protection technology. The objectives of NIPHM are developing technology for Plant Protection, Pest Management, and protecting the plant bio-security borders.
