Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority is also called APEDA and previously known as Processed Food Export Promotion Council (PFEPC). This is Govt. agency comes under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and head office in Delhi and 5 regional offices in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Guwahati. The main function of APEDA is the promotion and development of export products like Fruits, Vegetables and their Products, Meat Products, Dairy Products, Honey, Cocoa, Pickles, Herbal and Medicinal Plants etc. As the Department is only involved in the Agriculture and Processed Food products, the jobs offered by APEDA are mainly from the Agriculture industries. The APEDA mainly offer jobs on deputation basis for the officials working in Central Government Ministries / Departments, Autonomous Bodies, Public Sectors Undertakings, State Government Departments and State Government Public Sectors Undertakings.
