Notification of UPSC Recruitment 2017 – Vacancies for Scientist, Superintending Anthropologist & Technical Officer Posts: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a notification and invites application for the post of 08 Superintending Anthropologist, Scientist & Various Vacancies.
The organization is looking for Technical Officer in fields of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry. The veterinary technicians perform tasks such as administering medication and preparing animals for surgery, veterinary assistants fill a different but equally vital role in the veterinarian’s office. They support animal doctors and technicians in their daily tasks by cleaning and maintaining equipment, feeding, exercising and grooming patients, preparing and sanitizing surgery suites, restraining and handling patients, and clerical and administrative work. Veterinary assistants work mainly in clinics and hospitals, helping technicians treat the injuries and illnesses of animals. You can choose to work in small private practices or large veterinary hospitals. Your main job is to ensure a comfortable, safe and sanitary environment. There is another vacancy for Anthropologists. Their job will be to study the development and behaviors of human beings throughout the world, present and past, to help better understand humanity as a whole. They examine biological, archaeological, linguistic or sociocultural traditions, depending on their area of expertise. Many prospective anthropology students plan careers as researchers and educators with colleges, universities or museums. Anthropologists with bachelor's degrees may be qualified for entry-level positions; however, most academic careers in research and teaching demand graduate degrees. The board also needs to fill the posts of Scientist in various departments including Ballistics, Neutron Activation Analysis and Toxicology. The Scientists' job related to the mentioned fields will have to study Crime Scene Management, Crime Case Examination, bestow expert testimony/de’ facto in the courts of law on subject matter. They will be doing R&D activities on Forensic Activities and imparting training in their respective field of forensic specialization to the trainees from different investigating agencies / forensic science labs and other organizations.

Mode of Selection:
Candidates will be selected based on the result of their performance in recruitment test followed by interview.
