Indian Army looking for the UNMARRIED male and female candidates (including Wards of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel) for grant of Short Service Commission. The Ministry of Defence has the administrative control of Indian Army. It is the largest standing volunteer Army in the world. Indian Army divided recruitment zones to make the process easy as per the candidate location. The Indian Army allotted a quota for recruiting candidates according to the population of the area and other requirements, the selection process is very difficult and the policies many differ from location to location. The training is very tough as many candidates quit even in the first stage. The Army has in its Order of Battle in different divisions like mountain, infantry, armoured and mechanized divisions.
